APPLYING FOR FINANCIAL AID

federalstudentaidlogo.jpg

The FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID (FAFSA) should be completed each year as soon after January as possible. Families should complete their federal tax returns (1040/1040A/1040EZ) before filling out the FAFSA. Some schools have early deadlines for Financial Aid applications, so be sure to check with each college under consideration. Students and at least one parent (for dependent students) are encouraged to register for Personal Identification Numbers—PINs—and submit FAFSA's on-line. Instructions are available at the FAFSA website: [www.fafsa.ed.gov ]
